Cyber Acoustics AC-4000 Stereo Headset

The Cyber Acoustics AC-4000 is a wired stereo headset with a 3.5 mm jack and a unidirectional noise-canceling microphone. It connects directly to PCs, Macs, tablets and phones for plug-and-play audio. The on-ear design uses leatherette pads and an adjustable headband to fit most users. A braided TuffCord cable resists pulling and tangling during daily use.

Suited to Classroom and Home Use

This headset serves students and remote workers who need clear voice capture and simple connectivity. The noise-canceling boom mic reduces ambient sound during lessons or calls. Buyers who want wireless freedom or active noise cancellation for the earcups should look at something else. It also lacks a USB connection or inline volume controls for quick adjustments.

Plug-and-Play Setup With Durable Cable

Installation requires only inserting the 3.5 mm plug into a compatible audio jack; no drivers or software are needed. The flexible microphone boom positions easily for optimal pickup. The most common issue is a loose connection if the jack is worn or recessed, which can cause intermittent audio or microphone failure. The braided cable helps prevent internal wire breaks from frequent bending.

Questions about this item

What device connection do I need to use the 3.5 mm jack on the AC-4000?

The headset plugs directly into any computer, tablet or phone that provides a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Will the AC-4000 work if I keep using an older sound card that only has 3.5 mm ports?

Yes, the 3.5 mm connector is compatible with legacy sound cards and motherboard audio ports that use the same jack.

How can I verify the noise-cancelling microphone is reducing background sound after I plug it in?

Record a short voice clip in a noisy room and play it back; the unidirectional boom should suppress ambient noise while keeping your voice clear.
