Compact stereo speakers for desk use

The Cyber Acoustics CA-2014 is a 2.0 speaker system with two satellite units that deliver stereo audio for music, video and voice calls. Each unit uses a balanced armature driver rated at 4 watts RMS and the pair produces a total of 4 watts. A built-in microphone adds hands-free convenience for online meetings or casual chat.

Check power and audio connections

The system requires a 120 volt AC outlet for the included power adapter and a 3.5 mm audio jack on the host computer. Verify that your desktop, laptop or Chromebook provides a standard headphone output and that a free mains socket is within reach of the adapter cable. No batteries are needed and no software driver installation is required.

Bundled adapter and front-panel controls

The package supplies the AC power adapter and a user guide so the speakers work immediately after plugging in. The right satellite features a front panel with a power switch, volume knob, headphone jack and LED indicator, letting you adjust level or switch to private listening without reaching for the computer.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the CA-2014 speakers and do I need any extra cables?

The package includes the CA-2014 stereo speakers, an AC power adapter and a user guide. A 3.5 mm audio cable is built in, so no separate cable is needed for the audio connection.

The specs list 4 watts total power and 3 watts in the description — which figure should I use when choosing?

The manufacturer highlights rate the system at 4 watts total output, while the detailed product information lists 3 watts; both refer to the same 2.0 speaker pair, so expect modest desktop volume suitable for music, video and voice.

What does the 20000 Hz frequency response mean for everyday listening on this 2.0 system?

A 20000 Hz upper limit covers the full range of human hearing, so treble detail in music and voice is reproduced, though the small 1 inch balanced armature drivers and 4 watt output keep overall bass response modest.
