Desktop audio system

The Cyber Acoustics CA-3610 is a 2.1 speaker system rated at 30 watts RMS and 62 watts peak. Two satellites and a subwoofer provide stereo sound with dedicated low-frequency output for desktop multimedia use. A wired control pod puts master volume, bass level, a headphone jack and an auxiliary input within easy reach. The black Curve-series cabinets suit PC, Mac or tablet setups.

Sustained listening performance

Each satellite uses dual 2-inch drivers to handle mid and high frequencies while the 5.25-inch down-firing subwoofer with a tuned port reinforces the low end. The 30-watt RMS rating means the system can maintain its output level during extended gaming or movie sessions without compression. Bass and master volume controls are independent, so the balance stays consistent at different listening levels. The aux input accepts a second source without re-cabling.

Thermals, noise and power

The subwoofer enclosure measures 8.30 by 8.30 by 9.10 inches and houses the amplifier and power supply. In normal desktop use the system runs silently with no audible fan noise. Total weight is 10.6 pounds, indicating a conventional transformer supply rather than a lightweight switching design. Power draw scales with volume but remains modest for a 30-watt RMS class-D implementation.

Questions about this item

How much heat or fan noise does the 30 W RMS subwoofer produce during all-day use?

The system has no active cooling fan; the subwoofer and satellites run passively so they add negligible heat and no mechanical noise to the room.

What connection must my computer already have to plug into the control pod aux input?

The control pod accepts a standard analogue stereo line-level signal via its aux jack, so any device with a matching output can drive the system.

Will the 5.25" down-firing subwoofer overpower older satellite speakers I might keep?

The subwoofer is matched to the included dual 2" driver satellites; using different satellites would bypass the designed crossover and change the sound balance.
