The CyberPower CP500PFCRM1U is a 1U rackmount uninterruptible power supply designed for 120 V environments. It provides battery backup and surge protection for network equipment, servers and storage arrays mounted in standard racks. The unit occupies a single rack unit and includes six NEMA 5-15R outlets.

300 Watt Output Capacity

The decisive specification is the 300 W real power rating backed by a 500 VA apparent power rating. Connected loads must stay at or below 300 W to avoid overload shutdown. The sine-wave output maintains 120 Vac within ±5 %, making it suitable for active PFC power supplies that require clean waveform during battery operation.

Runtime and Surge Headroom

At full 300 W load the battery lasts 2 minutes, enough for graceful shutdown scripts to execute. At half load the runtime extends to 10.5 minutes, covering short outages. The 1150 joule surge rating and RJ45 pass-through protect data lines, while the replaceable RB0670X2 battery cartridge restores full runtime after an 8 hour recharge.
