28-port 10G SFP+ managed smart switch

The D-Link DGS125028X6KV is a 28-port managed smart switch built for 10G SFP+ connectivity. It delivers high-density fibre uplinks and aggregation for growing business networks. Administrators gain Layer 2+ feature control through a web-based interface.

Suited for fibre aggregation and core distribution

This switch fits IT teams that need managed 10G SFP+ ports in a compact form factor for server links or inter-switch trunks. Buyers who require RJ45 copper ports, PoE power delivery or Layer 3 routing should evaluate other product lines.

Managed smart switch with 28 SFP+ ports

The defining specification is the 28-port 10G SFP+ configuration combined with smart managed software. Confirm that your cabling, transceivers and network design match this all-fibre port layout before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the SFP+ transceiver modules need periodic replacement in the DGS125028X6KV?

SFP+ modules are hot-swappable and can be replaced individually when a link requires a different reach or fibre type.

What limits sustained throughput on the 28-port 10G SFP+ switch?

The 28 ports each operate at 10 Gbps, so aggregate throughput is bounded by the non-blocking fabric capacity of the chassis.

How loud and hot does the DGS125028X6KV get when running continuously?

The unit uses internal fans for active cooling; noise and temperature rise depend on rack airflow and ambient conditions.
