Direct USB-C to RJ45 connection

This six-foot cable plugs straight into a USB-C port and provides a Gigabit Ethernet jack without any separate adapter. It works with Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 3 hosts including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Dell XPS, Microsoft Surface Book, iPad, Chromebook, iPhone 15 models and Galaxy S24 phones. The plug-and-play design needs no driver installation on supported devices. A two-year manufacturer guarantee is included.

Suited for portable devices lacking Ethernet

The cable is ideal for ultraportable laptops, tablets and recent phones that have dropped the RJ45 port but need a wired link for faster downloads, lower latency or more stable video calls. It is not intended for console-style serial management cables, so network administrators who need a Cisco-style console lead should look elsewhere. Buyers who require Power Delivery pass-through to charge the host while connected will not find that feature here.

Handles 1 Gbps with legacy fallback

The link negotiates at up to 1 Gbps and falls back to 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps on older switches, giving full headroom for typical broadband plans and local file transfers. Cable length is six feet, so the host must sit within that distance of the wall jack or switch port; longer runs need a separate patch cable. No external power supply is required, but the host must be able to supply the adapter through its USB-C port.

Questions about this item

Do I need a USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt 3 or 4 on my laptop for this cable to work?

The cable is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and 3 ports, but it also works with standard USB-C ports on devices such as MacBook Air, Pro, XPS, iPhone 15 series and Galaxy S24.

Will this 6 ft cable run at gigabit speed if I plug it into an older 100 Mbps wall jack or switch?

Yes, the adapter is backward compatible with 100 Mbps and 10 Mbps networks, so it will negotiate the highest speed the link supports.

How can I verify the link is running at 1 Gbps after I connect the cable?

Check the network status on your device; it should show a 1 Gbps connection when linked to a gigabit-capable router or switch.
