What it is

This is a new 3-cell lithium-ion replacement battery rated at 11.4 V and 24 Wh. It is built to serve as a direct swap for the original power pack in several ThinkPad models.

Who it suits

It suits owners of T470, T480, T570, T580, P51s, P52s, A475, A485 and TP25 series laptops who need a like-for-like replacement. It does not fit T460s, T470s or T480s slim variants, so buyers with those chassis should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification

The critical figure is the 24 Wh capacity combined with the 3-cell 11.4 V lithium-ion layout; matching both ensures the battery will sit correctly and report accurate charge levels in the supported machines.

Questions about this item

Does the box include a screwdriver or any tools for fitting the 3-cell 24 Wh battery?

The package contains only the replacement battery; tools such as screwdrivers must be supplied by the installer.

Should I choose the 24 Wh version or a higher-capacity pack for my ThinkPad T480?

This unit is the 24 Wh 3-cell option; higher-capacity packs are separate listings with different watt-hour ratings.

What does the 24 Wh rating mean for daily runtime on a T470?

The 24 Wh figure is the energy capacity; actual runtime depends on screen brightness, workload and power settings in the laptop.
