What this plate does

DataComm Electronics’ 1-Gang Recessed Low Voltage Cable Plate provides a clean pass-through for low voltage cables behind flat panel TVs, amplifiers or other audio and video devices. It mounts onto a low voltage mounting bracket and can be oriented with the opening facing up or down.

What to verify first

Confirm you have a low voltage mounting bracket ready for a 1-gang plate before ordering. The product is designed for low voltage wiring only and is not rated for mains power connections.

What it replaces and when to upgrade

This white plate replaces an open cut-out or a basic brush plate when you want a finished, recessed look for in-wall cable runs. The upgrade is worth it if you are completing a new AV installation or tidying an existing one where cables pass through a single gang opening.

Questions about this item

What comes with the DataComm 45-0001-WH cable plate and do I need a separate bracket?

The package includes the white 1-gang recessed cable plate. A low voltage mounting bracket is required for installation and is sold separately.

Is the 1-gang version the only option for this model?

Yes, the 45-0001-WH is a single-gang plate. If you need more cable openings you would choose a multi-gang plate from a different product line.

How does the recessed design affect the cable layout behind a mounted TV?

The recessed opening sits flush with the wall so low-voltage cables run flat behind the display, keeping the installation clean whether the plate faces up or down.
