Premium Handheld 2D Imager

The Datalogic Gryphon GM4500 is a premium handheld barcode scanner built for general-purpose applications. It reads all common 1D and 2D codes, plus postal, stacked and composite symbologies such as PDF417. The megapixel sensor with warm-white illumination also captures codes displayed on mobile screens for ticketing or marketing workflows.

Sustained Wireless Operation

The scanner uses Datalogic STAR Cordless System on the 433MHz band for narrow-band radio communication. An integrated batch mode stores scans when the link is temporarily out of range, preventing data loss during extended shifts. Wireless charging eliminates physical contacts, so the cradle maintains reliability without the downtime caused by contact wear or cleaning.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The unit draws 2.5 W while seated in the charging cradle at 500 mA and 5 V DC, operating from a 4.4 V to 5.5 V DC input range. Weighing 160 g with dimensions of 99 mm by 64 mm by 165 mm, it stays cool and silent during normal use. Adjustable beep tone, volume and optional vibration give feedback without audible disruption.
