Questions about this item

Does the HP 1RL97AT barcode scanner require a separate power supply or does it draw power from the USB connection?

The scanner draws power directly from the USB interface, so no external power adapter is needed for operation.

Will the 6.5 ft USB cable reach a host system if the scanner is mounted in its stand on a typical countertop?

The attached 6.5 ft cable provides enough length to connect to a nearby POS terminal or HP Engage One All-In-One System without strain.

How can I confirm the scanner successfully read a Code 128 or QR Code barcode during use?

Intuitive feedback such as a beep and LED indicator confirms a successful read of supported 1D and 2D symbologies.
