Dayton Platform Truck 1200 lb

The Dayton 13X483 is a general-purpose steel-deck platform truck rated for a 1200 lb load capacity. It suits warehouses, workshops and delivery tasks where heavy boxed or loose items must be moved efficiently on a single level.

Steel Deck and Removable Handle

A 12-gauge powder-coated steel deck measuring 36 in by 24 in provides a smooth, durable surface that resists corrosion. The removable raised handle allows the operator to push or pull the unit and can be taken off for compact storage or when loading against a wall.

Four Casters and Low Deck Height

Four casters support the 24 in wide frame with a deck height of 12 in, keeping the centre of gravity low for stable transport. The powder-coated steel frame and solid deck construction minimise flex under full load, reducing rattling and rolling resistance during everyday use.

Questions about this item

What load capacity does the 1200 lb rating cap for this platform truck?

The 1200 lb rating caps the maximum evenly distributed load the steel deck can carry across its 36 by 24 inch surface.

What deck height and overall width must a doorway clear for the 24 inch wide truck?

The deck sits 12 inches high and the overall width is 24 inches, so the opening must exceed both dimensions.

How is the removable raised handle installed, and what step is often missed?

Slide the handle posts into the deck sockets until the locking pins engage; the step often missed is fully seating both pins so the handle cannot lift out.
