Dayton 13X508 Standard Platform Truck 1200 lb Red

General-Purpose Steel-Deck Platform Truck

This platform truck provides a flat steel deck rated for 1200 lb of evenly distributed load. The powder-coated finish resists corrosion in workshop or yard environments. A removable raised handle allows the user to push or pull the unit as needed. It suits facilities moving boxed stock, bagged material or equipment on smooth floors.

Practical Limits of the 1200 lb Capacity

The 1200 lb rating applies only when the load is centred and the truck rolls on level, hard surfaces. Soft ground, ramps or uneven floors reduce the safe working load significantly. The 13 ga steel deck and fixed casters are designed for manual speeds; impact loading or towing behind a vehicle will exceed the structural limits. No side panels mean tall or loose items must be secured separately.

Check Your Setup Before Ordering

Verify that doorways and aisles accommodate the 39 1/2 in overall length and 24 in width. Confirm the 6 in deck height matches your loading dock or workbench height for efficient transfer. Ensure the floor surface is smooth concrete or similar; gravel, grating or large expansion joints can jam the casters. The removable handle must be stored or reinstalled for tight storage spaces.
