Universal AC/DC motor delivers 1 HP at 10,000 RPM on 115 V single-phase power
The Dayton 2M191 is a single-phase universal motor rated at 1 HP with a nameplate speed of 10,000 RPM. It operates on 115 V AC at 60 Hz and draws 12.1 A at full load. The open enclosure and unfinished finish suit industrial replacement tasks where ventilation is adequate and appearance is not a concern.
This motor is not usable at 200 V or 208 V, so it only fits 115 V supplies. The CCWSE shaft rotation and 7/16 in. diameter are fixed, and the motor carries no thermal protection. Insulation class A limits the maximum ambient temperature to 40 °C, so the installation environment must stay within that range.
The face-mounting type allows all-angle installation without a separate base, reducing alignment time during replacement. Because thermal protection is absent, the installer must provide external overload protection. Verify the driven load matches the 1 HP rating and that the shaft rotation direction suits the application before wiring.
