Line-voltage mechanical thermostat

The Dayton 2NNT4 is a single-pole single-throw mechanical thermostat that closes on temperature rise. It operates across a control range of -30 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit at 24 to 600 VAC, rated for 16 full-load amps at 120 VAC and 8 amps at 240 VAC. The unit is not programmable and provides cooling-only switching action with a fixed 3.5-degree differential.

Remote bulb with 3-degree sensitivity

A remote sensing bulb is included, allowing the sensing element to be placed away from the switch body for accurate temperature monitoring in ducts, tanks or other enclosures. The mechanism responds to changes as small as 3 degrees Fahrenheit. The compact housing measures four-and-a-half inches high by two-and-one-eighth inches wide and deep, suitable for surface or panel mounting in industrial or commercial settings.

Replaces fixed-bulb or non-remote controls

This thermostat upgrades installations where the sensor must be located remotely from the switch, such as refrigeration, HVAC or process-cooling applications. The jump is worthwhile when an existing line-voltage control cannot reach the sensing point or lacks the -30-degree low-end range. It does not serve heating-only or dual-mode systems, nor does it suit applications requiring programmable schedules or electronic precision.
