Product identity

The Dayton 31XL41 is a standard-duty industrial air circulator built for floor mounting in workshops, warehouses or large garages. It delivers high-volume airflow from a 24 in blade driven by a brushless DC motor rated at 1/4 hp. The unit operates on 115V AC single-phase power at 60 Hz.

Critical specification

The single figure that decides fit is the 7000 CFM rating at high speed, which determines how much air the fan moves in the target space. Buyers who need higher static pressure for ducted runs or who require oscillation for wider coverage will find this non-oscillating, direct-drive design unsuitable.

Installation and common issues

Floor mounting is straightforward: position the closed base on a level surface, connect to a 115V supply and select the single speed. The 3.1 A operating draw at high speed means the circuit must handle the load without nuisance tripping. The 73 dBA sound level at full speed can be intrusive in quiet environments, so verify noise tolerance before final placement.

Questions about this item

What does the 7000 CFM rating mean when the fan is running in a workshop?

The fan moves 7000 cubic feet of air per minute on its single speed, producing 250 fpm velocity at 20 ft distance.

How does the 115V 60 Hz supply limit where I can plug it in?

It draws 3.1 amps at 250 watts on high speed, so it plugs into a standard 115V outlet without special wiring.

Will the 25 in outside diameter and 31 3/8 in height fit through a standard doorway?

The unit measures 25 in wide, 29 1/4 in deep and 31 3/8 in tall, so check your doorway clearance before moving it.
