5/16 in Vinyl-Coated Cable

This 250 ft reel of 304 stainless steel wire rope features a 7 x 19 strand construction with a vinyl coating that brings the overall diameter to 5/16 in. It is designed for lifting applications where corrosion resistance and a smooth exterior are required.

740 lb Working Load Limit

The cable delivers a working load limit of 740 lb and a breaking strength of 3,700 lbf, providing a 5:1 safety factor for controlled lifts. The unlubricated IWRC core and plain ends suit general rigging but offer no built-in termination hardware.

Replaces Uncoated or Smaller Rope

The vinyl jacket protects the 304 stainless strands from abrasion and weather, making it a step up from bare rope in marine or outdoor settings. Buyers who need factory-swaged fittings or a rated assembly for overhead lifting should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 5/16 in vinyl coating on this 33RF66 cable interfere with the sheaves on my older winch?

The 5/16 in overall diameter includes the vinyl coating over the 3/16 in stainless steel core; verify your sheave groove width matches this dimension before use.

How can I confirm the 7 x 19 strand construction is intact after installing the 250 ft length?

Inspect the cut ends for the 7 x 19 wire pattern and check that the vinyl jacket shows no cracks or flattening along the full 250 ft.

Does the 33RF66 come with thimbles or sleeves, or must I buy end fittings separately?

The cable ends are plain with no fittings; thimbles, sleeves or other terminations must be purchased separately for your application.
