Red Steel Platform Truck 1600 lb

The Dayton 3BE78 is a heavy-duty platform truck built for moving large loads in warehouses, workshops and yard environments. Its solid steel deck measures 48 in by 24 in and supports up to 1600 lb. The removable raised handle allows the operator to push or pull the unit without permanent fixture obstruction.

Powder Coated Finish and Removable Handle

A powder coated surface on both deck and frame resists corrosion from moisture and common shop chemicals. The flush lip style keeps the deck surface smooth so pallets or boxes slide on and off without catching. The handle can be detached when the truck must pass through narrow doorways or be stored against a wall.

13 Gauge Steel Deck at 9 Inch Height

The deck is formed from 13 ga steel and sits 9 in above the ground, giving a low centre of gravity for stable transport of heavy items. Overall dimensions of 48 in length, 24 in width and 39 1/4 in height mean the truck fits standard aisle widths while providing ample deck area. No side panels are fitted, so oversized loads can overhang the edges when required.

Questions about this item

Will the 13-gauge steel deck need any maintenance or replacement parts over time?

The powder-coated 13-gauge steel deck resists corrosion; touch up any scratched areas with matching paint to prevent rust, and inspect caster bolts periodically for tightness.

What is the first limit reached when the truck carries 1,600 lb all day?

The 1,600 lb load capacity is the structural limit; exceeding it risks permanent deck deflection or frame distortion.

How much noise and heat does the unit produce during continuous daily use?

The truck itself generates no noise or heat; only the casters roll, producing minimal sound on smooth floors and no measurable temperature rise.
