Purpose-built wall housing for 30-inch blade fans

This Dayton wall housing is designed to mount a 30-inch blade fan into a prepared opening. The galvanised steel body with an 18-gauge thickness provides structural rigidity for permanent installation. It suits contractors and facility managers fitting industrial or commercial ventilation systems.

Suits installers needing a closed-base frame

The unit includes a guard, four mounting angles and four side panels, simplifying the rough-in process. It is not intended for open-base configurations or for blade diameters other than 30 inches. Buyers who need a different cut-out size or a non-galvanised finish should look at alternative housings.

Bundled hardware completes the rough-in without

The included guard covers the fan opening for safety compliance. Four mounting angles and four side panels allow the housing to be secured directly to the wall structure. These components eliminate the need to source separate brackets or panels for a standard installation.

Questions about this item

What fan blade diameter fits the 30 in wall housing?

The housing is built for a 30 in blade diameter, matching the 30 in figure in the specifications.

Can I keep my existing 35 5/8 in rough opening when installing this 34 1/4 in overall unit?

Yes, the 34 1/4 in overall height and width sit inside a 35 5/8 in cut-out, so the current opening works without enlargement.

How do I confirm the 18 ga galvanized steel housing is seated correctly after mounting?

Check that the four mounting angles and four side panels are bolted flush, the included guard sits level, and the overall depth measures 38 in from the wall face.
