Lever Chain Hoist 6000 lb

The Dayton 48ME57 is a manual lever chain hoist rated for 6000 lb load capacity with a 15 ft hoist lift. It uses a double disc Weston-style brake and alloy steel G80 chain for controlled lifting and pulling in yard and outdoor applications.

Before ordering verify clearance

Confirm the minimum distance between hooks of 20 15/32 in fits your workspace and that the hook opening of 1 29/64 in suits your attachment points. The lever length is 16 17/32 in and chain length is 16 5/64 ft so ensure adequate operating room and that the 71 lb pull to lift rated load is manageable for the operator.

Suited for heavy manual lifting

This hoist suits users needing a portable 6000 lb capacity tool with 15 ft lift for occasional yard, maintenance or rigging tasks where powered equipment is unavailable. It is not for buyers who require overload protection, faster powered operation or longer lift heights than the specified 15 ft.

Questions about this item

Does the 6,000 lb lever chain hoist include the alloy steel G80 chain or must it be purchased separately?

The hoist comes with a 16 5/64 ft alloy steel G80 chain already fitted, so no separate chain purchase is required.

When should I choose the 15 ft lift version instead of a shorter or longer lift?

Choose the 15 ft lift when the vertical travel distance between the load hook at rest and the highest lift point is up to 15 ft; a shorter lift limits travel, while a longer lift adds unnecessary chain weight.

What does the 71 lb pull to lift rated load mean when I am operating the hoist in a workshop?

It means you must apply approximately 71 lb of force on the 16 17/32 in lever to raise the full 6,000 lb rated load under normal conditions.
