It reads pressures from 0 to 500 psi and is calibrated for R-12, R-22 and R-502 refrigerants. The red dial colour identifies it as the high-side instrument in a paired set. It is not suited for low-side readings or for refrigerants outside the listed three.

The gauge covers a working range of 0 to 500 psi, giving headroom for typical high-side pressures encountered with R-12, R-22 and R-502 systems.
