Fuel nozzle for gravity and pump systems
This Dayton fuel nozzle is built for gravity-feed tanks and electric fuel pumps. It handles diesel, gasoline and kerosene through a 6-5/16 in curved aluminum spout. A continuous-flow switch and hook allow hands-free dispensing. The unit operates up to 50 psi and connects via a 3/4 in FNPT inlet with a swivel at the hose connection.
Replaces worn manual nozzles on compatible pumps
The nozzle fits Dayton pump models 2P279, 4FY16 through 4FY18, 1P894, 4RP94, 5P233, 5P234, 7P073, 2GMP5 and 2GMP8. Upgrading makes sense when the existing spout is damaged, the swivel leaks or the switch no longer holds open. The aluminum construction resists corrosion better than older steel tips.
Fits inline with 3/4 in hose and pump outlet
The FNPT inlet threads directly onto a 3/4 in pump discharge or hose end. The swivel prevents hose twist during refuelling. The curved spout reaches vehicle fill necks without extra extensions. No metering mechanism is included, so volume tracking requires a separate pump counter. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for listed chemicals.

Questions about this item
What thread size does the 3/4 in FNPT inlet require on the hose or pump?
The nozzle has a 3/4 in FNPT inlet, so the supply hose or pump must provide a matching 3/4 in male NPT thread.
How do you attach the nozzle to the supply line, and what step is often missed?
Thread the 3/4 in FNPT inlet onto the male NPT hose fitting and tighten with a wrench; the swivel at the hose inlet must be free to rotate after tightening or the nozzle will bind.
When should the aluminium spout or seals be replaced?
Replace the spout if the 6-5/16 in aluminium tube shows dents, cracks or heavy corrosion, and replace internal seals if fuel leaks from the swivel or the continuous-flow switch fails to latch.
