The Dayton 50-2 connecting link joins two strands of industry-standard roller chain in agricultural, industrial or conveyor applications. Mid-carbon steel construction provides the strength required for power-transmission drives that see continuous loading. Mechanics and maintenance teams use it to repair or extend existing 50-2 chain without replacing full lengths.

Fits 50-2 Chain Geometry

The link matches a 5/8 in. pitch with 0.400 in. roller diameter and 0.375 in. width between roller link plates. Bushing diameter of 0.280 in. and plate height of 0.594 in. align with standard sprocket profiles. Rivet end to centre line of 0.756 in. and connecting end to centre line of 0.815 in. ensure correct pin engagement. Hole diameter of 0.202 in. accepts the supplied pins with 0.200 in. inside and outside diameters.

Standard Riveted Assembly

The package supplies five connecting links ready for riveted installation. Each link includes pins sized to the 1.720 in. pin length specification so no separate hardware is required. Riveting creates a permanent joint that matches the fatigue resistance of the surrounding chain. No master-link clips or offset links are included, so the repair is limited to straight double-strand connections.
