Dayton 30/50 psi Pressure Switch
The Dayton pressure switch controls water-pump operation with a factory-set 30/50 psi on/off range and a DPST contact form. It suits installers who need a NEMA 1-rated switch for residential or light-commercial well systems. The 1/4 in FNPT port connects directly to standard pump fittings. Manual Auto/Off/Reset action gives the operator full local control.
10–100 psi adjustable range
The switch operates across a 10 to 100 psi range while the differential spans 15 to 50 psi, so cut-in and cut-out points must stay within those limits. It is rated for 1-1/2 hp at 120 V and 2 hp at 240 V single-phase, making it unsuitable for larger motors. CSA and UL listings cover the electrical construction only. The NEMA 1 enclosure is not rated for outdoor or wash-down environments.
Replaces fixed-range or SPST switches
This unit replaces fixed-range or single-pole switches when adjustable cut-in/cut-out and double-pole isolation are required. The jump is worth it when the system demands a wider pressure window or when code calls for DPST disconnect. It does not serve installations needing an unloader valve or a higher NEMA rating.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 30/50 psi setting or a different range for my pump?
This switch is factory-set to turn the pump on at 30 psi and off at 50 psi. The adjustable range spans 10 to 100 psi with a differential of 15 to 50 psi, so you can re-calibrate if your system needs other points.
What does the 1 1/2 hp at 120 V rating mean for my motor?
It means the DPST contacts can directly control a single-phase motor up to 1 1/2 hp at 120 V or 2 hp at 240 V without an external contactor.
How does the 1/4 in FNPT port and NEMA 1 rating limit where I can install it?
The 1/4 in FNPT port threads into standard pump fittings, while the NEMA 1 enclosure is rated for indoor, dry locations only.
