Genuine Z8 G4 Second CPU Cooling Assembly

This new heatsink and fan unit is built for the Z8 G4 workstation and fits the second CPU socket. It ships with the CPU tray clip already attached so installation matches the original factory layout. The part number 907572-001 must match the label on the unit being replaced.

Thermal Performance and Power Draw

The assembly draws heat from the second processor and exhausts it through the workstation’s existing airflow path. One fan provides the cooling capacity required for normal workloads on the second CPU. Each unit is tested before shipping to confirm it spins up and runs without abnormal noise.

Included Hardware and Compatibility Checks

The package contains one fan assembly with the tray clip and no additional brackets, cables or software. Buyers who need a first CPU cooler or a complete dual-kit will not find those parts here. Verify the part number against the old component and consult the supplier if the model number is unclear.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 907572-001 CPU2 heatsink fan assembly into the Z8 G4 workstation, and what step is often missed?

Align the heatsink with the second CPU socket, secure the mounting screws in a cross pattern, then attach the CPU tray clip to lock the assembly; the clip is the step most installers forget.

What maintenance or replacement will the 907572-001 fan assembly need over time?

The fan bearing is the only wear item; expect to replace the entire assembly when noise increases or RPM drops below spec, typically after several years of continuous operation.

What thermal limit appears first when the 907572-001 runs under sustained load in the Z8 G4?

The second CPU hits its throttle point before the fan reaches maximum speed, so processor temperature is the limiting factor during prolonged heavy workloads.
