Questions about this item

How do I install this CPU cooling fan in my DELL INSPIRON 3000 3135 or 3137, and what step is often missed?

Remove the bottom cover, disconnect the old fan cable from the motherboard header, swap the fan, then reconnect the cable firmly; the step often missed is re-seating the connector so it clicks.

What maintenance will this replacement fan need later?

Blow dust from the heatsink fins and fan blades every few months with compressed air; the supplier notes each unit is tested before shipping but gives no lubrication schedule.

What limit appears first during sustained load on this fan?

The fan spins at a fixed speed, so under continuous heavy load the thermal ceiling of the laptop chassis is reached before the fan itself throttles.
