Questions about this item

How do I install the NS85C10-18J11 fan in my EliteBook 840 G5 without damaging the connector?

Align the 5V .5A plug with the motherboard header, press straight down until it clicks, then route the cable clear of the hinge before reassembling the chassis.

When will the NS85C10-18J11 fan need replacement under normal office use?

Expect several years of service; replace when bearing noise appears or speeds drop below spec, as the sealed sleeve bearing cannot be relubricated.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained loads on the ZBOOK 14U G5 with this cooler?

The 5V .5A power ceiling caps maximum RPM, so the fan hits its airflow limit before the heatsink saturates during prolonged compiles or renders.
