Compatible ThinkPad Models

This CPU fan is built for the Lenovo ThinkPad T510 and T510i with discrete graphics. It replaces FRU parts 60Y5491 and 60Y4979. The component is supplied new and tested individually before dispatch. It suits owners of these specific laptops who need a direct replacement cooler.

Single Fan Replacement

The package contains one cooling fan without extra brackets, cables or thermal compound. You must reuse the original mounting hardware from the old unit. Each fan is verified to spin correctly, but the manufacturer may be Forcecon, ADDA, Sunon, Kipo or another brand depending on stock.

For T510 and T510i Discrete Graphics

This part fits only the discrete-graphics versions of the T510 and T510i. Buyers with integrated-graphics models, other ThinkPad series, or different laptop brands should look elsewhere. Confirm the FRU number on your existing fan before ordering to avoid a mismatch.

The replacement fan is a sealed unit; no user lubrication is required during its service life.

What thermal limit throttles the ThinkPad T510 discrete-graphics CPU first during sustained loads?

The CPU hits its thermal junction maximum before the fan reaches peak RPM, triggering throttling.

How loud and hot does the Forcecon, ADDA, Sunon or Kipo fan run after hours of continuous operation?

The tested fan spins at its rated speed, moving enough air to keep the heatsink near design temperature with typical office noise levels.
