Dell Precision Tower 7920 Heatsink Bundle

This bundle supplies a DBTLAP CPU heatsink and carrier fan for the Dell Precision Tower 7920 workstation. It replaces the original R5NN8 heat sink and WN9TY carrier assembly. The package includes one fan that has been tested before shipping. It is intended for owners who need a direct replacement cooling part.

Buyers Replacing a Failed Cooler

The kit suits technicians or owners repairing a Precision Tower 7920 where the existing heatsink or fan has failed. It is not for users upgrading a different Dell tower, a laptop or any non-7920 chassis. Builders assembling a custom system should look at standard socket coolers instead.

Verify Part Numbers Before Ordering

Compare the R5NN8 and WN9TY labels on your current hardware with the product photos to confirm an exact match. Dell may use several revisions across the 7920 line so visual inspection is essential. If the part numbers differ, contact the seller with your service tag for confirmation.

Questions about this item

What Dell workstation must I already own for the R5NN8 heatsink and WN9TY carrier bundle to fit?

This bundle is made for the Dell Precision Tower 7920 and T7920 chassis, so you need one of those systems for it to install correctly.

Will the included fan connect to the existing motherboard header on my Precision 7920 without an adapter?

Yes, the fan uses the standard connector for the 7920 motherboard header, so it plugs straight in alongside your current hardware.

How can I verify the heatsink is seated properly after I install the R5NN8 and WN9TY parts?

Power on the workstation, confirm the fan spins, then watch CPU temperatures in BIOS or a monitoring tool — they should stay low and stable under load.
