Replacement Cooling Fan for Alienware R1 and R2

This new DBTLAP cooling fan replaces the original KSB0705HB-A and 6XNNH-A00 units found in Dell Alienware R1 and R2 laptops. It uses a four-pin connector for direct motherboard attachment. The part is designed for owners who need to restore factory cooling performance.

Single Fan Unit Ships Pre-Tested

The package contains only the fan itself with no mounting hardware or thermal compound included. Each unit is tested before shipping so it arrives ready for installation. Buyers must reuse existing screws and pads from the old assembly.

Four-Pin Connector Determines Fit

The four-pin power and control interface is the specification that decides compatibility with the target Alienware models. Verify the connector layout against the original fan before ordering. This part will not work with laptops that use a different pin count or pinout.

Questions about this item

Will the 4-pin KSB0705HB-A fan need periodic bearing lubrication or full replacement after heavy use?

The 4-pin KSB0705HB-A fan is a sealed unit; no user lubrication is possible. Replace the entire fan when airflow drops or bearing noise appears. Each unit is tested before shipping.

What thermal limit stops the KSB0705HB-A from running continuously in an Alienware R1 or R2?

The KSB0705HB-A runs until the laptop's own thermal controller cuts power. The fan itself has no independent thermal shutdown; it follows the system's PWM signal.

How much audible noise and heat does the 4-pin KSB0705HB-A add when the Alienware runs all day?

The 4-pin KSB0705HB-A spins only as fast as the Alienware's PWM curve demands. At low duty cycles it is near-silent; at 100 % duty it moves maximum air with corresponding airflow noise.
