Direct replacement for 1015PEM and 1018PE

This new DBTLAP CPU cooling fan is built to fit the ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM and 1018PE models. It serves owners of those netbooks who need a working cooler after the original unit has failed or become noisy. Each unit is tested individually before dispatch to confirm it spins correctly.

Single-fan cooler for netbook thermal loads

The accessory type is a cooler designed for the modest heat output of the Intel Atom platform used in these 10-inch systems. It provides enough airflow for everyday browsing and office tasks but will reach its limit under sustained heavy loads such as video encoding. No specifications for airflow or noise level are supplied by the manufacturer.

Upgrade from a worn or seized original fan

This part replaces the factory-installed cooler when its bearings wear out or the blades become unbalanced. The jump is worth it when the laptop throttles, shuts down from overheating or produces a grinding noise. Buyers who need a higher-capacity cooler for a modified thermal design should look elsewhere, as this unit matches the original specification only.

The fan is listed as compatible with the 1015PEM and 1018PE models; match the connector and screw holes to your original unit before fitting.

How can I verify the fan is running correctly once installed?

Listen for steady airflow from the vent and check that the system temperature stays stable under load; each unit is tested before shipping.

Does the package include mounting screws or thermal paste, or just the fan?

Only the fan itself is included; screws, thermal paste and any cables must be sourced separately.
