Questions about this item

How do I confirm the CPU fan is running correctly after installing it in my Lenovo IDEAPAD G40?

Power on the laptop and listen for the fan spinning; check the BIOS or a hardware monitor utility to verify an RPM reading appears for the CPU fan.

What comes in the package and do I need any extra parts to fit this fan?

The box contains one CPU cooling fan; no extra screws, thermal paste or cables are included so reuse the original fixings from your G40, G50, Z40 or Z50.

Which version should I choose for a Lenovo V1000 versus a V2000?

This fan is listed as compatible with both the V1000 and V2000 series; match the part number on your existing fan to the product photos before ordering.
