Cordless lamp for flexible indoor use

The Verilux DCL01 is a rechargeable table lamp with a 7500mAh battery that provides 24 to 72 hours of cordless light. It stands 16 inches tall with a 2.5 lb metal base for stability on kitchen counters, dining tables, nightstands or desks. The touch switch offers stepless dimming from 5 to 100 percent. A linen shade diffuses a 3000K warm glow from the 7.5W LED module.

Replaces outlet-dependent accent lights

This lamp removes the need for a nearby socket, upgrading from standard 4000mAh cordless models that fade after a few hours. The jump is worth it when you want a full week of restaurant service or several dinner parties on one charge. The fixed 16-inch height and weighted base suit permanent placement better than smaller portable lights.

Limited to indoor touch control only

The E26 socket base and 5V DC input mean the unit charges via USB but cannot be hard-wired or switched remotely. Stepless dimming works only through the onboard touch panel; there is no app, voice or wall-switch integration. The 3W LED output suits ambient and reading tasks but will not replace primary room lighting.

Questions about this item

How much clearance is needed for the 16-inch height and 6.45-inch shade width?

The lamp stands 16 inches tall with a 6.45-inch square linen shade, so allow at least 16 inches of vertical space and a few extra inches around the shade for airflow and touch access.

How do I charge the 7500mAh battery and what step is often missed?

Connect the supplied USB cable to the lamp's 5 V DC port and a 5 V charger; the step users miss is leaving it plugged in until the indicator shows full charge before first use.

When will the 7500mAh battery need replacing and how is it done?

After roughly 300 to 500 full cycles the runtime will drop noticeably; the battery is internal, so replacement requires opening the base — contact the manufacturer for service options.
