Scale and subject

This 1/72 scale diecast model reproduces the Brewster F2A Buffalo flown by the 3rd Squadron, Lentolaivue 24 of the Finnish Air Force. It is built for adult collectors and military-history enthusiasts who want an accurate representation of this specific wartime aircraft. The officially licensed replica arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Thermals noise and power

As a static display piece the model generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no power. It requires no batteries or external connection to function as intended. The diecast metal and plastic construction simply sits on its included stand.

Build fit and clearance

The model measures approximately 4.25 inches in length with a 5.75 inch wingspan, so it fits on a modest shelf or desk area. The included display stand supports the aircraft without additional hardware. Because the model has no openings or moving parts, nothing needs to be assembled or maintained after unboxing.

Questions about this item

How is the 1/72 scale Brewster F2A Buffalo model installed on its included display stand, and what step do people often get wrong?

The model rests on the stand without fasteners; the common error is forcing the fuselage onto the peg before aligning the centre-of-gravity point, which can bend the landing-gear struts.

What maintenance or replacement will the diecast metal and plastic construction need over time?

Occasional dusting with a soft brush preserves the realistic panel lines and surface details; no parts are designed to be replaced.

What limit appears first when the model is kept on permanent display under sustained lighting?

Prolonged direct light can fade the Finnish Air Force 3rd Squadron markings on the 4.25-inch length and 5.75-inch wingspan.
