Aluminium Pyramid Cap

The Decorex Hardware pyramid post cap fits 3" x 3" square steel or aluminium posts. Its white glossy powder-coated finish adds a decorative touch while protecting the post top from moisture and UV damage. The cast-aluminium construction resists corrosion for long-term outdoor use. Suitable for residential fence projects that want a clean, uniform appearance.

Pressure-Fit Installation

The cap slides onto the post using a pressure-fit design that requires no screws, brackets or tools. Alignment is straightforward when the post is cut square and measures exactly 3" x 3". Gaps can appear if the post is undersized, warped or out of square. For wooden posts the manufacturer notes that glue, silicone or construction adhesive is needed instead.

Sustained Outdoor Exposure

Cast aluminium with a powder-coated finish withstands repeated rain, sun and temperature cycles without rusting. The coating resists chalking and peeling better than standard paint under continuous UV exposure. Water shedding is handled by the pyramid shape, which directs moisture away from the post end grain. Performance remains consistent across seasons without maintenance.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the cap is seated correctly on a 3" x 3" post after pressing it on?

The cap should sit flush and level on the post with no visible gap around the edges and it must resist lifting when pulled gently by hand.

What comes in the package and do I need to buy adhesive or fasteners for a metal post?

The package contains the aluminium pyramid cap only; no screws, brackets or adhesive are included and none are required for pressure-fit installation on standard 3" x 3" steel or aluminium posts.

Which version should I choose if my posts are 3" x 3" square and made of steel?

Select the white glossy powder-coated cast aluminium model DHPPC30W designed for 3" x 3" square steel or aluminium posts with pressure-fit installation.
