TUFF STUFF PRODUCTS 12100 Zinc Plated Gravity Gate Latch

Zinc Plated Gravity Gate Latch 12100

The Tuff Stuff 12100 is a zinc plated gravity gate latch designed for flush mount applications on gates and doors. It provides a self-latching action that engages automatically when the gate closes. The latch includes mounting screws for installation. Its rust resistant finish helps protect against corrosion in outdoor environments.

Suitable for flush mount gates needing padlock

This latch suits property owners securing garden gates, yard enclosures or utility doors where a simple gravity operated latch is preferred. It works on both outswinging and inswinging configurations. Buyers who need a keyed locking mechanism built into the latch itself should look elsewhere, as this model only accepts a separate padlock. It is also not intended for heavy industrial gates requiring bolt type latches.

Handles standard residential gate latching

The gravity operation comfortably handles daily opening and closing cycles on typical timber or metal gates. The zinc plating provides a durable barrier against weather exposure for extended service life. The design runs out of capacity on gates with significant misalignment or sag, where the latch bolt cannot reliably engage the striker plate without manual adjustment.
