8.5in LCD Doodle Board for Kids

The Decute KM805 is an 8.5in LCD doodle board designed for children aged three to nine. It serves as a reusable drawing pad, writing board and creative toy for home, school or travel. The lightweight ABS frame weighs 117 grams and features a dinosaur-themed blue colourway. A CR2032 button cell powers the display for over a year of typical use.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The tablet operates without a fan, motor or active cooling, so it produces no audible noise and generates no noticeable heat during use. Power consumption is limited to the single CR2032 coin cell, which lasts more than twelve months before replacement. There is no mains adapter, charging cable or external power supply required. The screen emits no blue light, glare or radiation.

Build Quality Connectors and Mounting

The board is moulded from non-toxic ABS plastic with a smooth, waterproof and anti-fall LCD surface. A one-key erase button clears the screen instantly, while a screen-lock switch prevents accidental wiping. The battery compartment is secured with a screw for child safety. An integrated anti-lost lanyard keeps the stylus tethered to the unit. No ports, wireless modules or mounting hardware are present.

Questions about this item

How do I install the CR2032 battery and which step do people often miss?

Open the screw-secured battery compartment, insert the CR2032 cell with the positive side up, then tighten the screw again; the step many miss is refitting that screw so the cover stays shut.

What will need replacing after extended use and how often?

The CR2032 button cell powers the screen for over a year of normal doodling; when the display stops clearing, swap in a fresh CR2032.

What limit appears first during a long drawing session?

The 8.5-inch writing surface fills up before anything else; press the dinosaur-eye erase button to clear it instantly and keep going.
