Defendwe 150M PCI-E Wi-Fi Adapter

The Defendwe 150M PCI-E Wi-Fi Adapter uses an Atheros AR5B125 controller to add wireless networking to a desktop computer. It connects through a PCI Express slot and carries HP part number 670036-001 for direct compatibility with supported systems. The card is supplied new and ready for installation in a home or office PC.

Sustained load behaviour

During continuous data transfer the adapter maintains a 150 megabit per second link rate without thermal throttling. The single-stream design keeps power draw low so the card stays stable inside a closed case. Users who need higher throughput or dual-band operation should consider a different class of wireless adapter.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 150M PCI-E Wi-Fi adapter draw when running all day?

The adapter uses a standard PCI-E slot which supplies up to 25 W, so typical daily operation stays well within that limit.

Which antenna connectors must I already have to use the AR5B125 card?

The card expects two U.FL antenna pigtails; most HP laptops with part 670036-001 include them pre-routed in the display bezel.
