A 2-port DisplayPort KVM switch lets one USB keyboard, mouse and monitor control two computers at up to 3840 × 2160 @ 60 Hz or 2560 × 1600 @ 144 Hz with button or remote switching
This Defendwe KVM switch lets one DisplayPort monitor, keyboard and mouse control two computers. It supports 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz and 2560 × 1600 at 144 Hz for high-refresh gaming or productivity. The unit is fully DisplayPort 1.2 compliant and works with Windows and Mac systems. Switching is done via a front button or the included remote port selector.
The output is a native DisplayPort signal; connecting a DP-to-HDMI, VGA or DVI adapter will not work. You must use a DisplayPort cable directly from the switch to a DisplayPort monitor input. Maximum supported resolutions are 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz and 2560 × 1600 at 144 Hz. No DisplayPort cables are included in the package.
The switch recommends a standard 104-key wired USB keyboard and a two- or three-button wired USB mouse for reliable operation. Wireless combos, multimedia keyboards or mice with extra side buttons may not switch cleanly. Two switching methods are provided: a push button on the unit and a wired remote selector. DisplayPort cables must be purchased separately.

Both switch the active computer instantly; the button is handy at the desk while the remote lets you change ports from a short distance without reaching the unit.
It is the maximum resolution and refresh rate the switch will pass through, so a 4K display runs at 60 Hz without scaling or compression.
It limits the link to the bandwidth defined by the 1.2 standard, which supports 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz or 2560 × 1600 at 144 Hz but no higher rates or resolutions.
