Battery-powered pencil sharpener

The Deli AZ2053 is a compact electric sharpener that runs on two AA batteries or corded power. It sharpens standard graphite and coloured pencils between 6.5 mm and 8.0 mm in diameter with a single-button press. The tungsten steel blade is rated for 3000 sharpening cycles. A transparent shavings container keeps desks tidy.

Ideal for classrooms and mobile work

Students and teachers who need a portable sharpener that fits in a backpack will appreciate the 0.08 kg weight and 5.2 x 7.2 x 7.9 cm footprint. Offices wanting a quiet, one-finger device for occasional use are also well served. Buyers who need continuous high-volume sharpening or compatibility with pencils thicker than 8.0 mm should consider a larger desktop model.

6.5–8.0 mm pencil diameter range

This sharpener only accepts pencils within the 6.5 mm to 8.0 mm range, covering standard No. 2, triangular and hexagonal pencils. Any pencil outside that range will not fit the guide and cannot be sharpened. Check your pencil diameters before purchase.

Questions about this item

Which power option should I choose between corded and battery operation?

The sharpener works with either a corded electric connection or two AA batteries, so you can plug it in at a desk or run it cordlessly in a bag.

What does the 3000-round blade rating mean for daily classroom use?

The tungsten steel blade is rated for 3000 sharpening cycles, giving months of typical school use before the blade dulls.

How does the 6.5–8.0 mm pencil-diameter range affect which pencils I can sharpen?

It accepts standard No. 2, coloured, round, triangular and hexagonal pencils within that diameter, but thicker artist pencils may not fit.
