Classroom Heavy-Duty Sharpener

The Deli AZ2613-BK is a corded electric pencil sharpener built for high-frequency use in classrooms, offices, and artist studios. It sharpens standard graphite and colour pencils with a 6.58 mm diameter across round, hexagonal, and triangular barrels. A strong motor produces a precise point in roughly three seconds. The unit weighs 0.2 kilograms and measures 8.9 by 11.5 by 17.7 centimetres.

Upgrade From Hand-Crank Models

This sharpener replaces manual or low-duty electric units that slow down during batch sharpening. The upgraded blade and motor combination is rated for over 10,000 sharpening cycles without wearing out. The jump is worth it when daily volume makes hand sharpening impractical or when inconsistent points waste coloured pencils. It is not suited for buyers who need to sharpen oversized carpenter pencils or non-standard diameters.

Desk-Ready Corded Operation

The sharpener plugs into a mains outlet and sits on a non-slip suction base that prevents wobble during use. A smart sensor stops the motor automatically when the tip is ready, and an interlock cuts power if the shavings tray is open or missing. The compact footprint frees desk space while the tray holds shavings for less frequent emptying. No batteries or external power packs are required.

Questions about this item

What desk space does the 8.9 L x 11.5 W x 17.7 H cm sharpener need?

It occupies a footprint of 8.9 cm by 11.5 cm and stands 17.7 cm tall, so allow a few extra centimetres around it for the shavings tray to slide out.

How do I install the AZ2613-BK and what step is often missed?

Plug the corded unit into a mains socket, press the non-slip suction base firmly onto a clean, flat surface until it grips, then ensure the shavings tray clicks fully shut — the motor will not start if the tray is loose.

When will the blade or motor need replacement after heavy use?

The upgraded blade and motor combination is rated for over 10,000 sharpening cycles before wear requires service.
