Ready-to-use desktop for home and office

The Dell 1250 tower arrives with Windows 11 Home pre-installed, a wired keyboard and a wired mouse so it works straight from the box. An 18-core Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processor runs at a 2.4 GHz base frequency and reaches 5.3 GHz turbo for responsive everyday performance. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB NVMe SSD provide ample capacity for multitasking and local files.

180 W power supply with tool-less access

The 180 W unit powers the system while the tool-less chassis and removable side panel allow quick internal access for future upgrades. Integrated graphics and a sound card keep the internal layout simple, helping the tower run quietly during typical office workloads. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) give flexible wired or wireless connectivity without extra adapters.

Dual 4K display support via HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort

HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort outputs let you connect two 4K monitors for an expanded workspace. Buyers who need more than two external displays or discrete graphics performance should consider a different platform. A hardware TPM chip and a built-in lock slot add physical and firmware security for shared environments.

Questions about this item

How do I open the Dell 1250 tower to add a second NVMe drive, and what step do people often miss?

Remove the tool-less side panel, locate the spare M.2 slot on the motherboard, insert the NVMe SSD at an angle, then secure it with the tiny screw — the step most people forget is fastening that screw, so the drive stays seated.

Which component in this 1250 desktop will likely need replacement first, and what should I keep on hand?

The 180W power supply is the part most likely to wear out after several years of daily use; keeping a compatible 180W unit on hand lets you swap it quickly without downtime.

What thermal limit appears first when the Core Ultra 7 265 runs at 5.3 GHz for long periods in this chassis?

The 180W power supply caps total system draw, so sustained 5.3 GHz turbo on all 18 cores will hit that power ceiling before the CPU reaches its own thermal limit.
