Dell 14 DC14250 overview

The Dell 14 DC14250 is a 14.0 inch laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 150U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It ships with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Home. The IPS WUXGA panel delivers a 1920x1200 resolution at 60Hz and the chassis weighs 3.5lb.

Sustained load behaviour

The 150U processor reaches a turbo frequency of 5.4GHz with a 12MB cache and two performance cores for burst work. Integrated Intel Graphics handle the visual output without a discrete GPU. The 4-cell 54 WHr battery and 65W power supply support the platform during extended sessions while WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 maintain connectivity.

Installation and common issues

The unit arrives professionally upgraded by Velztorm with the memory and storage already installed so no internal assembly is required. Ports include HDMI, USB 3.2 Type-C, an SD card reader and a headphone jack for peripherals. Buyers who want more storage or a discrete graphics option should consider a different chassis.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 15th Gen Core 7 150U get during long sessions?

The 10-core processor runs up to 5.4 GHz inside a 3.5 lb chassis cooled by a 65 W power supply; fan noise rises under sustained load but stays typical for a thin 14-inch design.

Which cables or peripherals must I already have to use the HDMI and USB 3.2 Type-C ports?

You need an HDMI cable for external displays and a USB-C cable or hub for data or charging; the box includes only the 65 W adapter and a wireless mouse.

Will my older USB-A drives and monitors work with the USB 3.2 Type-C and HDMI ports?

Yes — add a USB-C-to-A adapter for legacy drives and a standard HDMI cable for older monitors; both ports are backward-compatible with existing gear.
