Touchscreen laptop for daily work

This 15.6 inch Dell laptop ships new with a 10-core Intel Core i7 1355U processor, 16GB DDR4 memory and a 1024GB SSD. The Full HD LED touchscreen resolves 1920 x 1080 pixels and supports pen or finger input. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for professional use.

Suits mobile professionals and students

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles office applications, web browsing and video playback, but cannot drive modern 3D titles or GPU-accelerated rendering workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance or a backlit keyboard should look at other configurations.

10-core 1355U decides multitasking headroom

The processor reaches 5.0 GHz maximum turbo across its 10 cores, setting the ceiling for concurrent browser tabs, Office suites and light creative tasks. If your workflow demands sustained multi-threaded compute beyond this ceiling, a higher-tier CPU is required.

Questions about this item

How do I add more RAM to the 16 GB DDR4 configuration and which slot do people forget to check?

The 16 GB of DDR4 memory is soldered to the motherboard, so there is no removable SO-DIMM slot to upgrade; the step people miss is confirming that the memory cannot be expanded at all.

Which component will need replacement first during the laptop's lifespan?

The 3-cell lithium-ion battery is the only user-replaceable part that degrades with charge cycles; the 1 TB SSD and soldered RAM are not designed for owner servicing.

What thermal limit appears first when the Core i7-1355U runs at its 5.0 GHz turbo for extended periods?

The processor will hit its thermal throttle point and reduce clock speeds to stay within the 15 W base power envelope because the slim 0.69-inch chassis has limited cooling capacity.
