Dell 15 with 12-core Ultra 7

This Dell 15 laptop ships new with Windows 11 Pro and a 15.6 inch FHD non-touch display at 1920 x 1080 resolution. An Intel Core Ultra 7 255U processor with twelve cores and a 5.2 GHz maximum turbo frequency drives the system. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR5 4800 memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD complete the main specification.

Integrated graphics and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity

The Intel Graphics integrated solution handles everyday productivity, streaming and light creative tasks without a discrete GPU. Wireless networking uses 802.11ac Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth is included for peripherals. Buyers who need dedicated graphics performance for gaming, 3D rendering or GPU-accelerated workloads should look at a different class of machine.

Single 512 GB PCIe SSD storage

Storage is provided by one 512 GB PCIe solid-state drive with no secondary drive bay mentioned in the specifications. Users who require more capacity for large media libraries, virtual machines or extensive project files will need external or cloud storage. The laptop also lacks an SD card reader for quick media offload.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port on the Dell 15 D15260 run my older USB 2.0 mouse and keyboard?

Yes, the single USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port is backward compatible with USB 2.0 peripherals, so your existing mouse and keyboard will work without adapters.

How can I confirm the Intel Core Ultra 7 255U is reaching its 5.2 GHz max turbo frequency after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU, and watch the live clock speed while running a demanding task; it should spike toward 5.2 GHz when thermal headroom allows.

Does the box include an SD card reader or do I need to buy a separate dongle?

The laptop has no built-in SD media card reader, so you will need a separate USB card reader or dongle to transfer files from SD cards.
