65 W USB-A Surface Charger

This 65 W AC adapter powers Microsoft Surface Pro, Laptop, Go and Book models through a magnetic connector. A built-in USB-A port supplies 5 V 2 A for charging a phone or accessory at the same time. The unit accepts 100–240 V input for worldwide use. It is a new replacement part, not an original Microsoft accessory.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers who need a single charger for multiple Surface devices and want an extra USB port for a phone will find this adapter convenient. Users who require Power Delivery over USB-C, higher wattage for larger laptops, or an officially branded Microsoft power supply should consider other options.

65 W output with 15 V 4 A rail

The adapter delivers 15 V at 4 A for a total of 65 W, matching the standard Surface charging profile. It also negotiates 44 W, 36 W and 24 W profiles for older models. The 85 W figure in the data sheet refers to a different operating mode and does not apply to Surface charging.

Questions about this item

Will the 85 W rating on the label hold up during continuous full-load charging?

The adapter is rated for 65 W output at 15 V 4 A; the 85 W figure is a peak specification, so sustained full-load use will be limited to 65 W.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect when this charger runs all day?

There is no fan; the unit relies on a built-in heat-dissipation system and IC-based over-temperature protection to stay cool and silent during extended operation.

Which cables or connectors must I already have to use this power supply with my Surface?

The magnetic Surface connector is integrated and the 8 ft AC cord is permanently attached, so no extra cables are required for the listed Surface models.
