230 W Square-Tip Charger for Legion Laptops

This 230 W AC adapter delivers 20 V at 11.5 A through a square yellow tip. It is built for Lenovo Legion 5, 7, 5P, C7, S7, Y540, Y545, Y740, Y730, Y900, Y910, Y920, ThinkPad P73 and compatible LOQ models. The unit accepts 100-240 V input at 50-60 Hz.

Bundled AC Cord Enables Immediate Use

The package includes one 230 W charger and one AC power supply cord. The corded electric design means no separate cable purchase is required. Fast charging is supported on compatible devices that accept the full 230 W output.

Simple Plug-In Installation

Connect the AC cord to the adapter, plug into mains power and insert the square yellow tip into the laptop charging port. The proprietary tip fits only matching Legion and ThinkPad sockets; it will not work with round-pin or USB-C charging ports. No driver or software setup is needed.

Questions about this item

Does the square yellow tip wear out and need replacing?

The square yellow tip is a fixed connector on the 20 V 11.5 A output cable; it is not designed to be user-replaceable, so the whole adapter would be swapped if the tip fails.

What limits continuous 230 W delivery?

The 20 V 11.5 A rating sets a hard 230 W ceiling; sustained loads at that level are constrained by the adapter’s internal thermal design and the 100-240 V 50-60 Hz input range.

How hot or noisy does the brick get when running all day?

The unit has no fan, so it runs silently; heat rises with load, but the 230 W rating at 20 V 11.5 A is within the design envelope for continuous operation.
