51Wh 4-Cell Battery for Dell Latitude RUGGED

This 51Wh lithium-ion battery fits Dell Latitude 5420, 5424 and 7424 RUGGED models. It operates at 11.4V using four premium cells and carries CE and RoHS certification. The unit ships new with a one-year replacement warranty.

Sustained Power Delivery

The lithium-ion chemistry maintains a stable voltage curve across the discharge cycle, reducing sudden drops during extended workloads. Four cells share the current load evenly, limiting heat build-up during long sessions away from mains power. Capacity remains consistent over repeated charge cycles.

Replaces Worn Original Batteries

This unit replaces a factory battery that no longer holds a useful charge or has swollen with age. The upgrade is worthwhile when runtime falls below operational requirements or when the original pack triggers replacement alerts. Buyers who need higher capacity than 51Wh or a different form factor cannot use this battery.

Questions about this item

Does the 51Wh 11.4V battery run hot or drain quickly under all-day use?

The 4-cell lithium-ion pack is rated at 51Wh and 11.4V, matching the original specification so thermal behaviour and runtime stay consistent with the factory design.

What must my laptop already have for this 51Wh pack to fit and charge?

It replaces the original battery in a Dell Latitude 5420, 5424 or 7424 RUGGED; the machine must use an 11.4V 4-cell form factor and the original connector.

Will the 51Wh unit work alongside the original charger and dock I kept from my Latitude 5420?

Yes, the battery accepts the same 11.4V input and communicates with the existing charging circuit, so your current AC adapter and dock continue to operate normally.
