A 7.68TB SAS enterprise SSD for read-intensive workloads, compatible with Dell PowerEdge servers
This Dell 5XD2F drive provides 7.68TB of storage over a 12Gbps SAS interface in a 2.5 inch form factor. It uses read-intensive TLC NAND and is validated for a wide range of Dell PowerEdge servers. The component is supplied new with updated firmware.
The drive suits read-heavy applications such as boot volumes, web serving or content delivery on listed PowerEdge models including R640, R740, R750 and MX740C. It is not for write-heavy workloads that exceed read-intensive endurance ratings. It is not for systems that lack 12Gbps SAS backplane support.
Compatibility depends on a 12Gbps SAS backplane and a 2.5 inch drive bay in the server chassis. The part is qualified for the specific PowerEdge models listed in the supplier data. Verify that your server configuration matches these requirements before purchase.
