Business tower for high-frequency workloads

The Dell OptiPlex 7010 tower pairs an Intel Core i9-14900KS 24-core processor reaching 6.2GHz with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB NVMe drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on a platform that includes Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. A DVD±RW drive, wired keyboard and mouse complete the ready-to-run package.

Step up from mid-range desktops when single-thread

The 14900KS delivers 6.2GHz turbo frequency and 36MB SmartCache, a clear jump over standard business CPUs that top out below 5GHz. The upgrade is worth it for compilation, large spreadsheet calculation or legacy single-threaded applications that still govern throughput. Builders who need more than 16GB memory or a second graphics card should look elsewhere.

Fits a managed fleet with tool-less service access

The 180W power supply feeds the integrated Intel UHD Graphics and onboard I/O including HDMI, DisplayPort and LAN. The tower chassis uses tool-less entry for memory expansion up to 64GB or storage additions. No monitor is included, so existing displays connect directly. EPEAT Gold registration and Energy Star certification support corporate procurement policies.

Questions about this item

Will the 180W power supply support the i9-14900KS at its 6.2GHz turbo frequency?

Yes, the 180W unit is the factory-rated supply for this configuration and is designed to sustain the 6.2GHz turbo on the 24-core processor.

Does the tool-less chassis require any screws to secure the 2TB NVMe drive during installation?

No, the M.2 slot uses a tool-less latch; you simply insert the drive at an angle and press it down until it clicks into place.

If I want to reach the 64GB maximum, do I need to replace the existing 16GB DDR4 modules or can I add to them?

The board has four DDR4 slots; the 16GB ships as one 16GB stick, so you can add three more 16GB DDR4-3200 modules without removing the original.
