Business desktop for office workloads

The Dell OptiPlex 7010 is a new tower system built around a 6-core Intel Core i5-12500 processor that runs at 3GHz and reaches 4.6GHz turbo. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory at 3200MHz and a 4TB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, making the machine ready for managed business environments.

Wired input and legacy optical drive

A wired keyboard and wired mouse are included so the workstation is usable immediately without extra peripherals. The DVD±R/RW drive provides read and write support for optical media, useful for archiving or installing software from disc. Integrated audio and Gigabit Ethernet handle sound and wired networking without additional cards.

Tool-less chassis with Wi-Fi 6

The tower chassis features tool-less entry for straightforward service, maintenance and future upgrades. Wireless connectivity is provided by a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) card, while video output is available through HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. The 180W power supply powers the configured components.

Questions about this item

How much more DDR4 memory can I add to the 32 GB already installed?

The board supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz, so you can add another 32 GB using the free slots.

What limits sustained performance first, the 180 W power supply or the CPU turbo ceiling?

The 180 W supply caps total system draw before the i5-12500 can hold its 4.6 GHz turbo across all six cores under heavy load.

How loud does the tower get when the 180 W supply and i5-12500 run flat-out all day?

The tool-less tower chassis uses a single regulated fan that stays at a low hum under continuous load thanks to the modest 180 W ceiling.
